Alexianer Expands with Kplus Facilities Takeover, Strengthens Regional Presence

Alexianer GmbH, a healthcare and social sector provider with over 800 years of tradition, has acquired numerous facilities from the Kplus group. The takeover includes St. Remigius Hospital Opladen and its medical center, as well as senior facilities in Leverkusen, Solingen, Düsseldorf, and Mettmann district. This ends the long-term search for a new provider for the Kplus group and keeps the facilities under confessional ownership.

The acquisition also includes therapy centers, which will be integrated into Alexianer's Rhine network. Senior facilities will join the Integration aid and Outpatient Care network. Local contacts at the acquired facilities will remain unchanged, ensuring continuity for patients and residents.

Alexianer's CEO, Sascha John, sees the new facilities as a sensible addition to their region, strengthening their position. With this takeover, Alexianer's employee count grows to around 31,300 across four networks in six federal states. Kplus group's CEO, Kai Siekkoetter, views this solution as beneficial, allowing better adaptation to healthcare sector challenges while keeping the facilities under confessional ownership.

Alexianer GmbH's takeover of Kplus facilities, including St. Remigius Hospital Opladen and its medical center, along with senior facilities in several cities, expands their network and strengthens their position in the region. The acquisition ensures continuity for patients and residents, with local contacts remaining the same.
