Austrian Advice: Starting from August, the Austria 2025 road vignette ceases to be financially advantageous

Traveling through Austria's motorways just got easier with the introduction of short-term and digital vignettes, available through the ADAC Mautportal.

Pricing and Options

The price for a two-month vignette is 31.10 euros, for ten days 12.40 euros, and the 1-day vignette costs 9.30 euros. The price for the Austrian Pkw annual vignette is 103.80 euros. These vignettes provide flexible usage for travelers who only need motorway access for brief periods, while the annual vignette is more cost-effective for frequent or year-round motorway users.

Digital Convenience

The ADAC Mautportal is accessible through both PC and mobile devices, providing convenience for users who wish to purchase toll products on the go. Over six million tickets and vignettes have been bought online through ADAC Mautportal since its introduction in October 2023.

In addition to online purchases, toll products are also available as digital versions or stick-on vignettes in ADAC business locations and the ADAC online shop. The platform offers vignettes and toll tickets for Austria and Slovenia, including the new Streckenmautticket FLEX, a toll ticket valid on all sections and calculating each passage after passing at the cheapest price.

ADAC Mautportal: Driving Digital Transformation

ADAC SE, based in Munich, is a European public limited company that offers mobility-oriented services and products for members, non-members, and companies. ADAC SE drives the digital transformation across all businesses and focuses on innovation and future-oriented technologies.

From now on, short-term vignettes (two 2-month vignettes) are cheaper alternatives to the 2025 annual vignette valid until 31 January 2026. This offers a significant saving of 41.60 euros for frequent drivers.

Digital Route Toll

The digital route toll is valid on all open toll lanes, with the fast lanes marked in green. Users of the digital route toll can pass the toll station without stopping. Digital route toll tickets are available in advance for the Brenner, Tauern, Pyhrn motorways, Karawankentunnel (direction south), and the Felbertauern tunnel.

Further information about toll-free sections, digital route toll, and digital vignette can be found on the ADAC Mautportal. For the latest fees, it is recommended to consult the official ADAC Mautportal or Austrian toll website directly.

ADAC SE: A Growth-Oriented Market Participant

ADAC SE operates as a growth-oriented market participant, offering a wide range of mobility-oriented services and products. The new 2026 annual vignette will be valid from 1 December 2025. ADAC SE consists of 25 subsidiary and affiliated companies, including ADAC Versicherung AG, ADAC Finanzdienste GmbH, ADAC Autovermietung GmbH, and ADAC Service GmbH.
