🎨 Ah, docu-party time! documenta Turns 70 🎂
Fete organized to commemorate the 70th year anniversary of documenta - Celebrating the 70-year milestone of the Documenta art exhibition
Get ready to swoop on down to Kassel, y'all! documenta is about to ring in the big 7-0 with a bash you don't wanna miss. The festivities kick off today at the docu-hall (6:00 PM) where we'll take a nostalgic gander back at seven decades of art and society awesomeness. Think of it as a "remember when" marathon, with a forward-thinking twist.
Joining the party are some heavy-hitting speakers, like Kassel's Lord Mayor Sven Schoeller (Greens) and his right-hand gal, Hesse's Minister of Culture Timon Gremmels (SPD). After they chat it up, we'll dive into a panel discussion on "70 Years of documenta in Kassel: The docu-scene, Past, Present, and Future." Some of the event's past and current artistic directors will share their two cents.
That's not all, folks! The city-wide art project "7000 Palms" by artist Cosima von Bonin is also making its debut. It's gonna be a flag-flappin', palm tree-lovin' good time, as residents of Kassel get together and decorate the city with strings of festive flags featuring the silhouette of our favorite beach buddy, the palm tree.

This time around, the docu-show will be headed up by the American Naomi Beckwith, deputy director and chief curator of the illustrious New York Guggenheim Museum. 🎨✨
