Crimean Bridge could see speedier checks for families with kids, as per a proposal by RSF

During the peak tourist season, the Russian Tourism Union (RST) has proposed specific measures to handle traffic congestion and ensure smooth travel for vehicles carrying children on the Crimean Bridge.

The RST's proposals include organizing priority screening for vehicles carrying children and optimizing checkpoint procedures to eliminate traffic jams, thus facilitating smooth and safe travel during the busy tourist season.

According to a report from July 11, 2025, these measures seem to be effective, as queues of cars in front of the Crimean Bridge have been completely eliminated, indicating successful implementation of traffic control strategies at the bridge checkpoints.

The Crimean Bridge is a key transportation route for tourists visiting Crimea. In the past, traffic backlogs due to security incidents and attacks on the bridge have led to significant delays for civilians traveling to and from Crimea.

The State Traffic Inspectorate has urged drivers with children to wait out traffic jams in populated areas or at specially equipped rest areas. They have also reminded drivers to anticipate possible delays when planning a trip and, if possible, choose nighttime or early morning hours for departure, when traffic is less congested.

The RST has made this proposal to relevant authorities and is urging them to consider its implementation. The proposal has been reported by TASS.

It is worth noting that the exact nature of the priority screening for vehicles carrying children has not been specified in the RST's proposal.

Despite these traffic control measures, the resort infrastructure of Crimea is currently operating in normal mode and is ready to receive tourists.
