On October 8, 2025, a significant event is scheduled to take place in the conference rooms of the city hall in Lahnstein. The occasion will mark the presentation of the new credit card for the Rhein-Lahn district.

Mayor Lennart Siefert and the managing director of the Rhein-Lahn Economic Development Corporation, Tanja Steeg, will provide insights into this innovative project. The credit card, a key component for the BUGA 2029, is designed to offer guests in the region attractive benefits and seamless mobility.

The goal of the credit card is to add additional appeal to accommodation providers in the region, such as hotels, pensions, and holiday apartments. Registration for the event is required by September 30, 2025, either via email at [email protected] or by phone at 02621 914-171.

The credit card offers benefits for both guests and hosts. It includes an integrated VRM ticket, simplifying the use of buses and trains throughout the network area. The event will present the functions, benefits, technical framework conditions, planned distribution, and time plan of the credit card.

The presentation event invites those who accommodate guests in Lahnstein, offering them the opportunity to provide direct feedback and contribute their own ideas. The event starts at 6:00 PM and is an excellent opportunity to gain firsthand information about the credit card project.

The implementation phase of the credit card project has begun, as key decisions have already been made. Stefan Hintermeier, the project manager of the new credit card project for the Rhein-Lahn-Kreis, will be presenting the project on October 8, 2025.

This event is a significant step forward in enhancing the tourism industry in the Rhein-Lahn district, making it an event not to be missed for those involved in accommodation services in Lahnstein.
