Wizz Air Expands Operations with New Direct Flight from Kutaisi to Venice

Starting December 2, 2025, Wizz Air will introduce a new direct flight route between Kutaisi International Airport (Georgia) and Venice, Italy. This new connection will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays, as part of Wizz Air's expansion in connecting Georgia with Italy and other European destinations.

The Venice-Kutaisi-Venice route will be operated by Wizz Air, Europe's most environmentally sustainable airline, according to recent data. This new route is supported by Wizz Air’s new Airbus A321neo aircraft based at Venice.

Kutaisi International Airport has seen increased activity from Wizz Air in recent months. In the first seven months of 2025, the airline served nearly 900,000 passengers in Georgia, and operated approximately 4,800 flights to and from Kutaisi. Since 2022, Wizz Air has maintained its leading position in Georgia's aviation market.

This new route will allow travel from Kutaisi to a third Italian city, Venice, in addition to the existing connections to Larnaca and Milan Malpensa. Wizz Air resumed flights from Kutaisi International Airport to Madrid and Hamburg earlier this year, and began operating direct flights to Lyon in June.

The number of flights operated by Wizz Air in the first seven months of 2025 is almost 9% more than the same period last year. This growth in operations continues with the addition of the Venice route, marking Wizz Air's expansion at Kutaisi International Airport.

Passengers can look forward to a comfortable journey on the Airbus A321neo aircraft that will be used for the Venice-Kutaisi-Venice route. Wizz Air is committed to providing affordable and sustainable travel options, and this new route is no exception.

In summary, the key confirmed Wizz Air route from Kutaisi in 2025 is to Venice with two weekly flights. The new route will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays, starting December 2, and will be operated by Wizz Air from Kutaisi Airport.

  1. The new route between Kutaisi and Venice will likely boost the tourism industry in both regions, offering travelers a new avenue for leisure and business-related travel.
  2. With the expansion of its flights, Wizz Air is not only strengthening its position in the aviation sector but also making finance available for further investments in Europe's transportation infrastructure.
  3. The addition of the Venice route to Kutaisi International Airport's roster signifies a substantial shift in Kutaisi's lifestyle, offering easier access to various destinations, making leisure and business travel more realistic and enjoyable.
