Egyptian Charter Airline Sky Vision Airlines to Expand Flights to Sharm el-Sheikh from Russia

Starting late August 2025, Egyptian charter airline Sky Vision Airlines will significantly expand flights from Russian cities, including Omsk, to the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh. This move aims to meet the high tourist demand for Egypt and boost connectivity on the key Egypt-Russia holiday corridor.

Marina Makarkova, the head of the public relations department at Coral Travel, made this announcement to "ATOR News". According to the statement, Sky Vision Airlines will serve eight Russian cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Omsk, Perm, Tyumen, and Ufa. The flights will be operated on Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

In Omsk, Sky Vision Airlines will add charter flights to Sharm el-Sheikh under bookings by Russian tour operators PEGAS Touristik and Coral Travel. The program for Tyumen starts on August 28, with similar timing for other cities like Omsk. The first flight from Omsk to Sharm el-Sheikh will start on September 3, 2025, and will end on May 25, 2026.

The Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) has provided this information, stating that the flights are being launched in response to increased demand for Egyptian tours. This growth is largely due to the involvement of Sky Vision Airlines, a private Egyptian carrier founded in 2023 that concentrates on charter flights between Egypt and Russia.

The flight schedule to Egypt for the winter period of 2025-2026 is planned to increase by 25-30%. Each passenger can bring baggage weighing up to 20 kg and hand luggage weighing up to 8 kg. The exact flight frequencies and schedules for Omsk have not been detailed beyond this announcement.

This expansion of flights to Sharm el-Sheikh is part of a broader reopening and increased traffic following prior bans and restrictions on flights to Sharm el-Sheikh that lasted several years after the 2015 Metrojet crash. Sky Vision Airlines' role in this growth has been highlighted, contributing to an overall increase in flight frequencies from Russia to Egypt's Red Sea resorts.
