Explores the presentation 'The air hums with voices': it showcases literary creation methods and stage performances of poetry
The city of Belo Horizonte will be hosting a unique cultural event from August 14 to 18. The show "The air vibrates in the voices," which combines poetic and performative experimentation, will be performed at the Teatro II of the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil Belo Horizonte (CCBB BH) at 7 PM each evening.
This literary art performance features works by Ana França, Sara Pinheiro, Carmen Marcial, Caíque Pinheiro, Bramma Bremmer, Rafael Fares, Luciana Cristina Campos, and Dudu Luiz Souza. The literary direction of the residency was provided by Maria Carolina Fenati, and the performative direction was provided by Marcelo Castro.
Admission to the show is free, and tickets can be picked up starting August 8 on the CCBB BH website and at the CCBB BH box office. A new batch of tickets will be released one hour before each performance, available for pickup exclusively at the CCBB BH box office.
Eight Belo Horizonte artists have collaborated in this project, including Erez Israeli, Giselle Beiguelman, Laura Lima, Lucia Koch, Sena da Silva, Daniel Toledo, Luciana Val, and Francisco Sales. They have created the show through a collective creative process.
Experienced guests from the literary and cultural scene will participate in the performances, focusing on expanding reach and ensuring diversity. Among them are multiartist Renato Negão, poet-slammer and activist Niovéa Sabino, and poet Mônica de Aquino.
"The air vibrates in the voices" is part of a residency project focused on text sharing, writing, rewriting, and performance. The show was conceived by translator Ana França and multidisciplinary artist Sara Pinheiro, and produced by Ventura.
The show's location is at Praça da Liberdade, 450 - Funcionários - BH/MG. The operating hours of the CCBB BH are from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Wednesday to Monday. Some poems included in the performance program are unpublished, while others were refined during the residency.
