In an unprecedented move, the Fools' Service, a beloved annual event in Southwest Germany, will be held online this year. The event, scheduled for next Sunday, February 14, 2021, at 11:11 AM, will be streamed on the YouTube video platform.

Michael Ketterer, the owner of a local brewery, has stepped forward to provide financial support for this online event. The collaboration extends beyond Ketterer, with several groups participating in the virtual celebration. These include Guggen-Gaiß from Kieselbronn, Kraeheneck-Hexen from Dillweißenstein, Leutrum-Guard from Wuerm, Bu-Hoi Cravallos from Buchenbronn, and the Pforzheim Fasching Society PFG.

The traditional parade in Dillweißenstein has been cancelled, but memories of past celebrations will be on display in three decorative cases. The burning of the snowman, a key tradition, has been omitted in Dillweißenstein this year, but Jörg Müller, Master of the Belrem Guild, has expressed a desire to maintain the tradition.

The Keibelhexen from Huchenfeld have turned the Rathaussturm into a video event, deposing Mayor Sabine Wagner in a humorous production. Pastor Heike Reisner-Baral, who grew up in Weil am Rhein and enjoys celebrating a service of a different kind, will lead the online Fools' Service.

The service will include songs, prayers, texts, video inserts of the groups, and a performance by a special guest from Lake Constance. Two participating associations will also be managing the sale of fried and sugared delicacies, with proceeds going towards the first online Fools' Service.

Jörg Müller has had talks with the city administration for a fire permit for the "Cruel Barbara," but has not given specific information. The service will adhere to all rules as participants and viewers will be in their home environment.

Pastor Heike Reisner-Baral has been a partner in the last two foolish church events. The fate of the foolish fifth season's conclusion on Tuesday remains unclear. Despite the changes, the spirit of the Fools' Service will remain, bringing laughter, tradition, and community spirit to homes across Southwest Germany.

  1. The Fools' Service, with the participation of groups like Guggen-Gaiß from Kieselbronn and the Pforzheim Fasching Society PFG, will showcase a diverse lifestyle, featuring fashion-and-beauty, home-and-garden, and even a food-and-drink segment with the special guest performance from Lake Constance.
  2. The cancellation of the traditional parade in Dillweißenstein has been compensated by the Keibelhexen from Huchenfeld, who have transformed the Rathaussturm into a video event, highlighting the unique relationship between community and humor.
  3. This year's Fools' Service, featuring Pastor Heike Reisner-Baral, will promote travel and exploration as it extends beyond Southwest Germany through virtual connections, bringing the spirit of the event to homes across the country, maintaining the tradition of community, laughter, and unity.
