One of the most significant filming locations is Charleville Castle, a neo-gothic masterpiece built in 1798 by architect Francis Johnston. The castle, located on the edge of a forest in County Offaly, is one of Ireland's jewels, with turrets, sculptures, and intricate woodwork. It has previously been used as a set for the film Jane and the series The Tudors, showcasing its cinematic appeal.
