Honda has recently introduced an exciting new tool for driving enthusiasts - the Dream Drives map. This unique, interactive guide, designed specifically for the Civic Type R, showcases the potential of the high-performance vehicle on various iconic roads across Europe.
The Dream Drives map was created from a specially commissioned and unprecedented collection of roads, carefully selected by consulting motoring experts, driving enthusiasts, and owners of the Civic Type R hot hatchback. Nik Pearson, manager of corporate communications at Honda Europe, stated that the creation of the Dream Drives map is a farewell for the Civic Type R in Europe, as Honda has confirmed that the model will exit the UK and European markets with a limited-production Ultimate Edition.
The map highlights 127 memorable roads across more than 25 different countries. Among these routes, you'll find the legendary Passe dello Stelvio in Italy, the highest pass in the Alps mountain range, which is celebrating its 200th anniversary this year. Another famous stage on the Monte Carlo Rally, the Col de Turini in France, is also featured. For those seeking scenic drives, the North Coast 500 in Scotland and the Transfăgărașan Highway in Romania are included, offering breathtaking views and challenging terrains.
The Dream Drives map is not only a resource for discovering new routes but also for finding inspiration based on country and route type. Users can search for a specific road or browse through the various themes of scenic, coastal, cross-country, and mountainous roads. Once a road is selected, directions can be sent to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto-enabled devices using Google Maps or another navigation app.
