Australia

It's freezing down under in July, so they need something to warm them up, right? Well, the 4th of July does the trick for some Aussies! There might not be specific events planned for 2024, but trust us, they're bound to be celebrating this year. George Copelin, an American expat who runs a general store, has been whipping up cornbread and brisket for the last four years to celebrate. So, if you're headed to Australia, there's a good chance you'll find a 4th of July party!

England

With an annual American Beer Festival and celebrations of beer, the country most famous for tea seems to have a soft spot for our independence! While we couldn't find a legitimate source for 2024, you can bet there are plenty of ice-cold beers filled with patriotic spirit!

Denmark

Rebildfest in Denmark is one of the largest celebrations of American independence outside the US. The festival is organized by a special society, and it's all about friendship, freedom, and honoring the bond between Denmark and the US.

The Bahamas

The Bahamas? Yes, you read that right! They have a big ol' celebration for the Fourth of July. Expect live entertainment, a "Stars & Stripes Jam," and plenty of American-themed events to get you in the holiday spirit.

Other countries celebrate American independence in their unique ways, too, like the United Arab Emirates, Portugal, the Philippines, and Egypt. Each nation has its own Independence Day, albeit not always called that, to mark their own landmark moments in history.
