Investment Encouraged in Tourism and Food Processing Industries by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister

In the heart of Himachal Pradesh, at the Dharamshala Global Investors Meet, our dashing Chief Minister, Jai Ram Thakur, made it plain that the state's days of shying away from investment are over. Sporting a holistic approach, Himachal is aiming to nurture various industries like manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, food processing, IT, and electronics – and more.

With a natural advantage in fruit production, Himachal Pradesh boasts the title of India's "Fruit Bowl." ThisVersatile territory, with its diverse topography and climate zones, offers vast opportunities for fruit and food processing. Furthermore, it's a goldmine for growing an array of medicinal plants. Entrepreneurs keen on setting up their units can expect the state government's unwavering support.

Tourism is another sector where Himachal Pradesh's intellectual capital shines. Offering a mix of options ranging from adventure to wildlife, eco-tourism, heritage, spiritual, monuments, religious, and skiing, investors can pick their battlefield. Favouring a timely acceleration of projects, Jai Ram Thakur ensured that the state government would act as a helpful facilitator for MoU holders in housing, urban development, and transportation, securing time-bound approvals to eliminate any pesky delays.

Bikram Singh Thakur, the Industries Minister, affirmatively stated that the state, under Jai Ram Thakur's capable leadership, was aiming to establish Himachal Pradesh as a hub of investment. Sarveen Chaudhary, the Urban Development Minister, announced that the state would swiftly approve maps for housing construction within thirty days.

In the sidelines, Jai Ram Thakur also had engaging sessions with MoU holders in tourism, wellness, and AYUSH, promoting Himachal Pradesh as a destination brimming with choices for investors.
