IRCC Issues 277 ITAs to PNP Candidates in Latest Express Entry Draw
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has held another Express Entry draw, this time issuing 277 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates. This draw, held in 2025, follows recent CEC and PNP draws and brings the total number of ITAs issued this year to 34,717.
The CRS score requirement for this draw was 726. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is a points-based system used by IRCC to evaluate and rank candidates in the Express Entry pool. It considers factors such as age, work experience, education, and language proficiency. The CRS aims to select candidates most likely to succeed in the Canadian job market, promoting economic growth and addressing labor shortages.
This year's Express Entry draws have primarily targeted PNP candidates, with smaller numbers of ITAs going to Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates, French-language proficiency candidates, and those in priority categories. This strategy reflects IRCC's commitment to supporting provincial economic development and addressing specific labor market needs. Since its launch in 2015, Express Entry immigrants have consistently shown high employment rates and strong earnings, as reported by IRCC in 2020.
Candidates for today's draw had to have created an Express Entry profile before 3:46 p.m. UTC on 24 September 2024. With the total number of ITAs issued in 2025 now at 34,717, IRCC continues to process applications efficiently, supporting Canada's economic growth and addressing labor market needs through immigration.
