Lavish Accommodation Venture: Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Partnership with Emin Capital Unveil Future Development in Mallorca
After a thorough renovation, the historic Four Seasons Resort Mallorca is set to reopen in 2023, offering a luxurious Four Seasons experience on the Mediterranean coast. The resort, originally opened in 1929, will be the second Four Seasons offering in Spain following the recent opening of Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Madrid in September of 2020.
Located on the former Hotel Formentor in Mallorca, Spain, the resort will be situated on a 1,200 hectare (3,000 acre) plot of the Formentor Peninsula, offering access to a pristine beach. The property will offer 110 rooms and suites, along with extensive culinary offerings, relaxing spa facilities, and exclusive seaside activities.
The renovated resort will feature an indoor restaurant, beachfront restaurant and cafe, and a poolside bar and grill. Tennis courts and beautiful spa facilities are among the onsite activities at the Resort. A functioning vineyard, located a short five minute drive away, offers exclusive farm-to-table activities for guests.
John Davison, President and CEO of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, expressed excitement about the expansion into Spain. Jordi Badia, Chairman and CEO of Emin Capital, stated a commitment to implementing sustainable and green initiatives in the revitalization of the property. The project incorporates environmental initiatives such as native vegetation restoration, reduced water consumption, rainwater harvesting, heat recovery systems, solar power, food waste management, use of electric vehicles, and low energy consumption design.
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, which opened its first hotel in 1961, currently operates 119 hotels and resorts and 44 residential properties in 47 countries, with more than 50 projects under planning or development.
