Miami Beach Tour Guide: A Journey Through Sun-Kissed Beaches and Vibrant Atmosphere
Last week, I spent a few days in Miami, trading the hustle and bustle of my daily life for a more laid-back pace. My home away from home was The Raleigh Hotel, a haven of luxury and style that perfectly encapsulated the Art Deco and contemporary aesthetic of Miami Beach.
The Raleigh Hotel was a unique, quirky gem, making me feel like I was living in a Wes Anderson movie. The pool was heavenly, and I spent most mornings there, reading, listening to the waves, playing, napping. The beach was just a stone's throw away, and I savoured the tranquillity it offered, engaging in simple pleasures like watching the sunrise and sunset.
The hotel's surroundings offered a diverse and upscale culinary scene. The selection of restaurants near The Raleigh Hotel reflected the hotels' architectural and design styles, emphasising luxury and style in both dining and accommodation environments.
Orange Blossom, a small restaurant within walking distance, had a friendly and cool vibe. The Social Club at the Surfcomber, steps away from The Raleigh Hotel, featured giant upholstered sofas, an artistic vibe, and good food. Yardbird Southern Table + Bar, located in a cute neighbourhood, served delicious chicken and waffles, and their watermelon was a must-try.
I dined at Restaurant Michael Schwartz multiple times, where I indulged in delicious fish tacos. Cecconi's at the Soho Beach House was a magical spot for dinner, with twinkle lights in the trees and a modern pool visible by peeking behind the bar. Juvia, with its skyline views, in-house DJ, and pretentious atmosphere, was best visited just as the sun was setting.
However, one experience that stood out was night swimming. It was thrilling, yet tinged with fear due to shark-related statements. Despite this, the experience was unforgettable, adding an extra layer of adventure to my relaxing trip.
Amy Rubin Flett's quote, "Once she stopped rushing through life, she was amazed how much more life she had time for," perfectly encapsulates my experience during this trip. I learned the value of slowing down, of embracing the minimalist lifestyle and travelling more. This trip was primarily a relax trip, with less focus on sightseeing, and it was just what I needed. Miami, you've got my heart.
