Mönchengladbach Culture Office Introduces Minimum Fee for Artists in 2026

The Culture Office in Mönchengladbach has announced a new change for 2026, introducing a binding minimum fee of 55 euros per hour for professional artists. The application deadline for the Moenchengladbach Culture News program is October 31, and first-time applicants are encouraged to seek prior consultation from the Culture Office. Birte Wehmeier, deputy director, and Irina Pauli, coordinator, welcome creative project ideas that focus on new cultural experiences for children and young people aged 10 to 14.

The program is open to institutions and artists, with a focus on innovative projects that engage young audiences. The state of North Rhine-Westphalia provides annual funding of around 75,000 euros for the program, ensuring diverse cultural activities each year. Irina Pauli can be contacted at [email protected] for further questions. All offers within the program are free for participants.

The Moenchengladbach Culture News program continues to support and promote cultural experiences for young people in the region. With the new minimum fee for artists and the ongoing commitment of the state, the program looks forward to receiving creative and engaging project ideas for the 2026 funding round.
