Nature Guardian School Graduates 20 New Guides for Kamchatka Reserves
The Nature Guardian School, led by Yulia Kharlamova, has celebrated another successful batch of graduates. An impromptu ceremony marked the completion of the course for 20 new guides in Kronotsky Reserve and South Kamchatka Federal Wildlife Refuge. The school aims to produce qualified guides who can inspire nature love and communicate effectively with tourists.
The 'Additional Education for Guides' program has seen 154 graduates over seven sessions. Online lessons, often involving live interaction, have led to interesting ideas and concrete results. Three students from the sixth session worked as guides during the 2024 season and proved excellent in their roles. The school carefully selects students who genuinely want to become great guides, creating a talent pool for tour agencies. Graduates include residents of Kamchatka and other regions interested in working during the tourist season on protected territories.
Applications are now open for the eighth session of the 'Additional Education for Guides' program. The Nature Guardian School continues to play a vital role in producing qualified guides who can effectively communicate information to tourists and inspire nature love, contributing to the preservation and appreciation of protected territories.
