Junglia Okinawa: A Thrilling Nature-Themed Adventure Park in Okinawa
Junglia Okinawa, a new nature-themed amusement park, has opened its doors in the Yanbaru region of Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. The park, located in the villages of Nakijin and Nago, covers a total area of 60 hectares and features 22 attractions themed around Yanbaru's unique nature and dinosaurs.
Key attractions at Junglia Okinawa include the Dinosaur Safari, a thrilling jeep ride through a jungle with life-sized dinosaurs, and the Horizon Balloon, a hot air balloon ride offering breathtaking views of Okinawa’s forests, coastline, and sea. Adrenaline-seekers can enjoy the Sky Phoenix, a ride simulating the sensation of flying, and the Gravity Drop, a heart-racing free-fall descent.
For those seeking relaxation, Spa Junglia offers outdoor saunas, rock baths, natural hot springs, and cave baths surrounded by nature sounds. Other attractions include Buggy Voltage, Bungee Glider, Titan’s Swing, Sky-End Trekking or Tree-Top Trekking, and a variety of restaurants and shops.
Tomohiko Yara, a resident of Nago, was among the first visitors to Junglia Okinawa, waiting from 3 a.m. for the park's 9:15 a.m. opening. Yusuke Ubukata, a resident of Saitama prefecture, north of Tokyo, also visited the park, expressing his desire to create memories and experience Okinawa's distinctive natural environment.
Mr. Yara, the park's operator, expressed his anticipation for enjoying the attractions at Junglia Okinawa. He hopes that the park will attract more tourists to northern Okinawa, contributing to the region's tourism industry.
