Showcasing Tourism and Sustainability: NACT Shows off at Arab Radio and TV Festival

In a grand celebration of cultural heritage and strategic tourism, the National Authority for Cinema (NACT) welcomed a host of VIP guests to Studio Empire in Latrech-Bir Bouragba. The historic media complex, revived in 2002 by producer Tarak Ben Ammar, served as the backdrop for this prestigious event.

The visit, one of the key outcomes of the Arab Media Conference, attracted a diverse array of influential figures from the Arab world. Among them were Amb. Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, Deputy Secretary General at the Arab League, Media & Communication Sector, and Dr. Ibrahim Abu Zekry, President of the General Union of Arab Producers.

The Arab Media Conference aims to support national efforts in reducing carbon emissions and protecting the climate. In line with this objective, the pavilion presented key initiatives in mobility and sport from NACT's platform. Academic Chiraz Jaziri showcased Tunisia's academic vibrancy, while Noureddine Ben Ayed, a prominent Tunisian actor, added a touch of glamour to the event.

Tunisia's sporting vibrancy was also evident, with athletes such as Nour Ben Diha, Amal Abdeli, international boxing referee Sarah Bouhlel, and Bassam Belhadj of the Garde Nationale Sports Club in attendance. Miss World Imen Mehrzi's presence further highlighted Tunisia's cultural presence at the event.

Asma Al-Habashi, President of the Arab Media Women Union, was also among the attendees, underscoring the importance of women's participation in the media industry. Guests explored a curated display of classic vehicles throughout Studio Empire's public spaces and hotel grounds, adding a touch of nostalgia to the festivities.

Yasmine Hammamet, located near Enfidha International Airport, served as the picturesque setting for this grand gathering. The visit also promoted Tunisia's cultural assets and Yasmine Hammamet as a strategic tourism destination.

Eng. Alhamedi Al-Anezi, President and CEO of Arabsat, and Ahmed Assaf, General Supervisor of the Official Palestinian Media, were high-level guests at the festival. Abderrahim Suleiman, Director-General of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), was another notable attendee.

The UAE’s National Media Office recently announced the Bridge Summit, a global media initiative held in Abu Dhabi. Its objectives are similar to those of the Arab Media Conference, focusing on exploring the future of media, fostering dialogue, tackling media challenges, promoting sustainable growth, and supporting media professionals through training and funding programs. Key participants include CEOs, state leaders, and media experts.

However, further clarification or access to dedicated sources would be required to provide a complete answer regarding a specific conference organized by NACT and its objectives, cultural promotion, or key participants.

The Tunisian Minister of Tourism, Soufiane Tekaya, viewed the exhibition and recognised it as part of Tunisia's national heritage. This event serves as a testament to NACT's commitment to preserving and showcasing Tunisia's rich cultural and historical heritage.

Dr. Ibrahim Abu Zekry, in line with the Arab Media Conference's objective to support climate protection, could discuss environmental-science initiatives that promote sustainable lifestyles during the event. Additionally, Noursin Elaloui, a renowned environmental scientist, might share insights about the impact of climate-change on Tunisia's travel industry while showcasing her research in the environmental-science field during the conference.
