Travelers heading to Alakol, Kazakhstan, can rejoice as arrangements are underway to enhance their holiday experience.

Commencing June 1, 2025, SCAT Airline to Introduce Subsidized Flights

According to the Ministry of Transport's recent announcement, effective June 1, SCAT Airline is set to initiate subsidized flights to Usharal, a town near Lake Alakol. Moreover, the airline will also operate flights between the capital and Urjar, as well as between Almaty and Urjar. These routes will see an increase in frequency, with seven flights per week scheduled.

While specific details about the subsidized flight schedules for these routes are unavailable, SCAT Airlines is embarking on a broader expansion effort. This includes the introduction of a new scheduled air service between Astana and Belgrade, marking the first such connection between Central Asia and Serbia in nearly twenty years. The Serbian Government is expected to subsidize these flights[1].

In addition, SCAT Airlines is set to launch daily subsidized flights to Lake Alakol, a popular vacation destination for both Kazakhs and foreign tourists[4]. As for other routes, SCAT Airlines is looking to expand its network further, with potential additions such as Munich, Budapest, Vienna, and Sofia[1][3].

However, no information is currently available regarding specific routes to Usharal or Almaty to Urjar. Usharal is a small town in Kazakhstan, and as such, it is not a significant destination for SCAT Airlines based on current data. Similarly, there is no mention of flights from Almaty to Urjar, as the latter is not a well-known destination in the aviation industry[1][3].

With the extension of SCAT Airline's services, daily subsidized flights will be introduced to Lake Alakol, catering to tourists seeking a unique travel lifestyle. Moreover, the airline's broader expansion effort will encompass a new scheduled air service between Astana and Belgrade, offering an opportunity for travel between Central Asia and Serbia.
