CLEAR, the biometric service that helps members pass through security queues faster, has announced an exclusive deal for members of United Airlines' loyalty program. This offer, valid from May 27, 2022, through July 9, 2022, provides United MileagePlus members with the opportunity to purchase a CLEAR membership at a discounted rate.
For United MileagePlus members, the annual membership price has been reduced from $179 to $109. United Premier 1K members, however, can enjoy a free CLEAR membership. MileagePlus members can earn rewards as well, with 10,000 miles for regular members and 15,000 miles for Premier members. These miles are valued at approximately 1.3 cents per mile.
To qualify for this offer, MileagePlus members must register directly through CLEAR's landing page. It's important to note that this offer is not combinable with any other offer.
Delta SkyMiles members also benefit from this partnership, with Diamond Medallion members receiving a free CLEAR membership, while General SkyMiles members can purchase a CLEAR membership for $119. Platinum Medallion, Gold Medallion, and Silver Medallion members, as well as SkyMiles credit cardholders, can get a CLEAR membership for $109 annually.
Travelers with the Platinum Card from American Express, The Business Platinum Card from American Express, or the Centurion Card from American Express receive an annual statement credit that covers the cost of a CLEAR membership subscription. Regular members can get it for $119.
CLEAR says members should allow 6 to 8 weeks after completing the qualifying activity for miles to post to their accounts. This service is popular among savvy travelers who don't want to wait in long lines.
