Upper Austria's Camping Industry Booms Ahead of Record 2025 Season

Upper Austria's camping industry is set for a bumper 2025 season, following a 2.6% rise in overnight stays in 2022. Camping enthusiasts are drawn to the region's blend of nature, cuisine, and leisure activities.

Last year, over 510,000 guests enjoyed the camping experience in Upper Austria, a record figure. Provincial Councillor Markus Achleitner is delighted with the expansion of camping offerings in the region. The industry generates an average of 149 euros in value creation per day.

Visitors from the Netherlands, Germany, and the Czech Republic are particularly fond of Upper Austria's camping sites. They appreciate the combination of nature, culinary delights, and leisure activities. New camping sites are planned to open in Hinterstoder, Schärding, and Natternbach by 2025, including the 'Campingresort Hinterstoder'.

With a strong 2022 season and new camping sites on the horizon, Upper Austria's camping industry looks set to thrive in 2025. The region's unique appeal continues to attract campers from across Europe.
